Cut a 4” length of 20-gauge wire – bend the tip over. This prevents the stamens and feathers from slipping.

Gather stamens around wire stem and bind them securely by wrapping around several time with thread or 32-gauge wire. Stamens can be purchased or made from curled feathers.
Cut and curl feathers to be used as petals. Cluster 3 feathers against the wire stem and wrap tightly with thread or wire. Add 2 or 3 additional feathers and again, wrap securely. Continue to add feathers and secure.

If quills have created a bulky lump trim it away with scissors.
At this point you can add additional 20-gauge wire if you need a longer stem. Wrap the stem with florist tape.
